Grants for Themed Workshops

The Pasold Research Fund offers support of up to £1,500 for themed workshops focusing on any area of textile history. Applications are accepted from those based in either UK Universities or UK museums towards the costs of workshops.

Grants may be used to cover travel and subsistence costs of speakers and should be fully costed, including estimates of air or other travel fares and accommodation.

Please use the Themed Workshop Grant Form and submit your application before the 1st January/15th June both by email and on paper. Please

B. send 3 paper copies of the same materials to: Mrs Amy Evans, Pasold Secretary, Pasold Research Fund, Global History and Culture Centre, Department of History, University of Warwick, Coventry CV4 7AL    

 

If you are unable to email your application, please submit 3 paper copies and indicate that your application was sent only on paper.

 

 Applicants should outline:

  • Theme of workshop
  • Date of event; name and institution(s) of organiser(s)
  • Aims and objectives and potential benefits
  • Format of workshop; number and type of participants
  • A full list of paper givers, their affiliations and proposed title. Please identify those to be funded and provide a paragraph summarising their CV and their contribution to the conference
  • Publication or other plans stemming from the conference

Priority will be give to the following :

  • multidisciplinary applications
  • collaborative applications between universities and museums
  • those where there are plans for the workshop to lead to a publication or other long term outcomes

DEADLINES FOR APPLICATIONS: 1st January and 15th June each year.
